Proclaiming the gospel has become a way of life for us instituting a "5-minute rule". The 5-minute rule states that when in the presence of an individual for 5 minutes or more, the gospel will be presented. This rule shows people we come in contact with our devotion to Christ.
Andrew teaches an evangelism course to equip followers of Christ to share the good news with others.
On 8 September 2013, Calvary Church Castlebar held its first church service. Today, we rent our own facility in the center of town for services and other weekly events. We praise God to see a growing and close church family in Castlebar with the goal to reach the town and surrounding towns with the good news of Jesus Christ.
Calvary Mission has also planted churches in Westport, Charlestown, Ballina, Claremorris and Roscommon with a view to plant several more in the near future.
What We Do
Our family is part of the leadership team at Calvary Mission and have planted a church in Castlebar, Co. Mayo and currently lead a church planting team in Boyle, co. Roscommon.
Calvary Mission is an affiliation of independent, Bible-based, God-centered churches working together and supporting one another as we proclaim the gospel and plant churches in the West of Ireland and beyond.
Andrew shares the preaching and service leading duties in Castlebar and also travels to other churches to preach sermons and teach from God's word.
In addition, there are many opportunities during the week to have individual Bible studies with those seeking to know more about Christ or those wanting to grow in their Bible knowledge.
Genesis is the "go to" graphic designer for the Calvary Mission family of churches as well as other churches, conferences, gospel promoting events and Bible-based groups in Ireland.
She designs websites, logos, brochures, book covers, tracts and promotional materials used to advance the gospel in Ireland.
One important way we serve our community is by hosting kids clubs (VBS). People in this culture are unlikely to bring their children to a church that is unknown, so we bring the fun to them! In summer, we invite the community to join us for fun, BBQ and Bible teaching in their own neighborhoods. These clubs have been so successful, our churches are stretched to staff them. The church workers spend much of the summer supporting each other and helping with their kids clubs.
Calvary Mission is a "churches planting churches" affiliation. We plant churches and raise up leaders to plant additional churches.
We are currently living in Boyle, Co. Roscommon. We are in the beginning phase of church planting in our new town. To learn more, click on the link below.
